White Oak Everywhere
White oak is clearly the star of this project. The cabinetry, beams, and built-ins in every room except the office are all constructed from white oak and finished in stains that highlight the natural grain of the wood while adding warmth throughout the home. It's one of those finishes that feels classic now and will still feel classic years from now.
One of our favorite features is the white oak coffered ceiling, featured in the photo above. It adds so much character to the space while tying in perfectly with the cabinetry below.
Details Worth Looking Twice At
This project is full of custom detailing, and that's part of what makes it so special.
The entertainment center features Plato's Hamilton reeded doors, adding texture without overwhelming the space. Custom metal grille inserts and carefully detailed cabinetry give each room its own personality while still feeling connected to the rest of the home.
While white oak carries through most of the house, the home office changes things up with rich walnut cabinetry. It's a subtle shift that makes the space feel cozy while still fitting beautifully with the overall design.
